Ranging from classic soft tones to extravagant, fashionable colors, the Martin & Martin collection offers charismatic shapes, a pleasant feel and an extremely good fit with spring hinges. These are the cornerstones of a style that has been developed in the heart of Cologne for over 20 years and continues to excite customers in over 20 countries.
At the optical fair in Paris in 2000 the first Martin & Martin collection was presented: urban frames made of solely black, white and transparent materials. A combination of charismatic design and extremely high quality. Quickly the collection found its followers in the European market and became successful. Since then, the range has been gradually developed and offers a wide variety of shapes and colors today.
Unconventional shapes such as “Xaver” (Design Award Tokyo 2004), “Mick” or “Ollie” are as much part of the collection as timeless classics such as “Paul”, “Fritz” or “Erik”.
After studying philosophy and literature for some terms, Martin Lehmann entered gardening and finally graduated in economics.
The business studies and the many years of professional experience in controlling resulted in the interesting mix that laid the foundation for the founding of the company. Since then, his particular focus has been the development of the collection with its different forms and colors, the structure of sales and the brand communication.
Since 2011 Martin Lehmann is the sole owner of Martin & Martin.
